Say “I spent thirty dollars at the supermarket” or take a photo of the receipt. Sumaly works out the amount, the date, the merchant and the category. Your partner sees it right away.

How it works
People quit finance apps for the same reason every time: logging is a chore. Sumaly goes after that first.
Hit the microphone and talk normally. The app picks up the amount, the merchant and the category, and learns from the places you have shopped at before.
Take a photo of the receipt and the fields fill themselves in. The text is read inside your phone: the image never travels anywhere to be read.
The plain old form for when you would rather type. And if you already have history, import your bank's CSV or Excel file and the columns map themselves.
Voice and scanning come with the paid plans. When you install, you get 14 days with everything unlocked so you can try them, no card needed.
What it does
Set a monthly cap and see what is left. At 80% it warns you, before it is too late. They renew on their own every month.
You both see the household account; yours stays yours. Cash, card, checking, savings: every expense comes out of where it really came from.
Salaries, side jobs, the occasional windfall. Without income, a budget is half a picture.
A target with an amount and a date, and the progress in plain sight so the goal does not get forgotten in February.
On the first of every month the previous month's summary lands in your inbox as an Excel file, without you having to go looking for it.
Log it at the supermarket even with no data. When the connection comes back it syncs on its own, without you having to do a thing.
Pick the mode when you start and the app adapts: what gets shared, who administers and what each person sees.
The whole app in all three languages, with Latin American and European currencies, not just the dollar.
The warranty receipt, stored next to the expense instead of lost in your camera roll.
Privacy
Sumaly does not sell data, does not show ads and has no trackers. And there are two things that might look invasive and are not.
Public beta now open
Sumaly is in beta. It works, we use it every day, and it still has rough edges. If you join, what you report changes the app before launch.
Your email app opens with the details we need. We reply with the install link.
Pricing
Keeping track of your money should not cost anything. What you pay for are the two things that change the habit: the app entering the data for you, and the whole household seeing the same thing.

Questions
No, and that is on purpose. We do not ask for banking credentials and we have no access to your accounts. If you want to load your history, import the CSV or Excel file your bank lets you download.
They see whatever goes through the shared accounts and the household budgets. Personal accounts belong to each person. Sharing accounts is part of the Family plan; on the free and individual plans everything stays on your phone and in your account only.
It is neither stored nor sent. Your phone turns what you said into text, and only that text travels to the server to classify the expense, along with the list of your categories. Nothing else.
Yes. You log expenses with the phone offline and everything is saved on the device. When the connection comes back it syncs on its own and the rest of the family sees it.
Any of them. It is built for families in Latin America, with the region's currencies, and it is in Spanish and English.
From the app, in My profile → Delete account. That deletes your profile, your expenses, your income, your receipts and your report subscription. There is no one to write to and nothing to wait for. Before deleting, you can export everything to Excel from the Reports screen.
It stays: the account you created during the beta is still yours in the final version. Even so, while the beta lasts, do not use it as your only financial record.
